Refund Policy
Last updated: May 31, 2026
1. Digital Game Keys Are Final Once Revealed
When you purchase a game key on the CastPact platform, you are buying it from the game's publisher, who is the seller and merchant of record for that sale. CastPact LLC ("CastPact") operates the storefront and facilitates payment, key delivery, and refunds on the publisher's behalf, but CastPact is not the seller or merchant of record. The key is delivered electronically. For your security, the key is not included in your confirmation email. Instead, we email you a secure link to a key page where you must click Reveal key and confirm that you understand this policy before the key is shown to you.
Once you reveal a key, the sale is final and non-refundable. Revealing a key is the point of delivery for a digital good, and a revealed key cannot be returned to inventory or resold. This is consistent with standard practice for digital game keys.
The no-refund-after-reveal term is shown to you before you complete your purchase and is presented again on the key page, where you must acknowledge it before the key is revealed.
2. Refunds Before You Reveal the Key
If you have not yet revealed your key, you may request a refund directly from your key page within 14 days of purchase using the "Request a refund" option. The refund will be issued to your original payment method, and the key will be returned to inventory. Because the key was never revealed to you, no key was delivered.
After the 14-day window, or after a key has been revealed, the self-serve refund option is no longer available. If you believe you have an exceptional circumstance, contact support@castpact.com.
3. Keys That Do Not Work
If a revealed key fails to activate on the intended platform and the failure is not caused by your account, region, or prior activation, contact support@castpact.com with the details. We will investigate with the publisher and, where appropriate, provide a replacement key or a refund. This remedy is in addition to, and does not waive, any rights you may have under applicable state consumer-protection law.
4. No Statutory Cooling-Off Right for Online Digital Purchases
Your purchase of a game key is an online purchase of a digital good. The federal three-day "cooling-off" rule for certain in-person sales does not apply to online digital purchases, and there is no general statutory right to cancel an online digital purchase for a change of mind. Your refund rights are those described in this Policy.
5. United States Buyers Only
Game keys are offered for sale only to residents of the United States. Consumer withdrawal or "cooling-off" rights under the laws of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other non-US jurisdictions do not apply to your purchase.
6. A Key Is a License, Not Stored Value
A game key is a license to access a specific game, redeemable through the relevant game store or platform under that game's end-user license agreement. A key is not a gift card, gift certificate, or stored-value or prepaid instrument. It carries no cash balance, cannot be redeemed for cash except where required by law, and has no value other than as a license to the specific game purchased.
7. One-Time Purchase, No Subscription or Auto-Renewal
Each game-key purchase is a one-time transaction. There is no subscription, recurring charge, automatic renewal, or free-trial that converts to a paid plan associated with a key purchase. You are charged once, at the time of purchase, for the key you buy.
8. Disputes and Chargebacks
For game-key sales, the publisher is the seller of record and CastPact facilitates the payment. CastPact, on behalf of the publisher, records the delivery of your key, including when the secure link was emailed, when it was opened, when you acknowledged this policy, and when the key was revealed. If a chargeback is filed claiming a key was not received, CastPact may use this delivery record to contest it on the publisher's behalf. Filing a chargeback for a key you revealed and received may be treated as a disputed transaction and can result in suspension of your ability to purchase on CastPact.
9. Fraud Prevention
CastPact may decline, hold, or refund any order it reasonably believes to be fraudulent or in violation of the Terms of Service. Where a key was never revealed, CastPact may revoke and return it to inventory.
10. How Refunds Are Issued
For game-key sales, the publisher is the seller and merchant of record. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method from the publisher's Stripe account, processed through Stripe. CastPact facilitates the refund through Stripe but does not act as the seller of record and does not itself hold or refund the funds. Your payment for a key, made through the CastPact storefront, is treated as received by the publisher; you bear no risk of loss for that payment in transit. Depending on your bank, it may take several business days for the refund to appear.
11. Sales Tax
Any sales tax shown at checkout is charged by the publisher as merchant of record. If your purchase is refunded, the refund includes any sales tax the publisher collected on that purchase, processed on the publisher's Stripe account.
12. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising out of or relating to a purchase or refund is governed by the dispute resolution provisions of the Terms of Service, which include a binding arbitration agreement and a class-action waiver. In the event of any conflict between this Policy and those provisions, the dispute resolution provisions of the Terms of Service control. Nothing in this Policy waives any right that cannot be waived under applicable law.
13. Changes to This Policy
The publisher and CastPact may update this Refund Policy at any time. The version in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase. Material changes will be communicated via the Platform.
